Wood sawing and board lumber production generate high noise, large amounts of wood dust and chips. Workers could not do without eyes and hearing protection. The dust created in sawing soft wood usually does not present a serious danger to workers. But aerosol particles of hard wood that are carcinogenic can float in the air for the long time, they can be breathed in and reach the lungs area. In that case disposable or reusable respirators will be necessary. Protective foot wear shall be used for safer handling heavy wood products. Gloves will protect hands from rough surfaces and wood resins. Depending on the kinds of operations helmets and face shields maybe necessary for head and face protection.
